On 23 Shevat 5771, the first Derher pamphlets rolled off the (yeshiva) printers, when a few passionate bochurim felt an urge to share the wealth of Chassidishe content that didn’t seem readily available for the English-reading crowd. What a hit it was! That simple publication evolved into the venerated Derher Magazine with over 15,000 readers.

But Derher is more than a magazine. Derher’s mission has always been to teach and inspire Yidden about Chassidus and the Chassidishe way of life, with special emphasis on the unique mission of our generation—Dor Hashvii, the Rebbe, and the Rebbe’s teachings.

To achieve this goal, Derher runs many initiatives, forming a range of opportunities for people of all ages to connect to the Rebbe.

These include: Derher for Kids Magazine, Derher Archive, Derher Audio, Derher for Kids Podcast, Derher for Kids Story Time, Derhers clubs for high schools and Yeshivas

The monthly magazine is masterfully composed by talented researchers, writers, editors, and designers. It includes diaries of life with the Rebbe, biographies of legendary Chassidim, explorations of burning issues and topics through the Rebbe’s lens, overviews on historical events and periods in Chabad, and a dynamic wealth of other topics. One prominent reader dubbed it “a farbrengen on paper.”
